Maple Glazed Pecans

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw pecans
  • 1/2 cup 100% maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sucanat or maple sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet
  3. Toast until lightly browned and fragrant, about 8-10 minutes depending on their size.
  4. Remove from oven and set aside
  5. Heat the syrup and sugar in a medium pan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it comes to a boil.
  6. Boil for 2 minutes, keep stirring.
  7. Add the toasted pecans.
  8. Continue cooking and stirring to coat the pecans, about 30 seconds more.
  9. Turn off the heat and spread the pecans onto a baking sheet to cool.
  10. Sprinkle with salt.
